*history.com has my favorite link, which is “this day in history” that tells you things that happened on the particular day in history.  There are even specific subjects to see what happened on that day such as general interest, cold war, crime, etc. The website also has information on its programs, including times that they will air.

*The library of Congress website has primary documents that are readily available to the public.  There are links to general collections the library has and also specific area studies in their global collections.

http://www.wikipedia.com 

Wikipedia has general information for everyone.  Although the website is not 100 percent credible, often times the resources Wikipedia uses to find information are.  The websites that Wikipedia sites use for information  often hold valuable information.
